ensure that you've added enough stuffing to give it a plush, huggable feel. Be careful not to overstuff, as this can cause the stitches to stretch and distort the shape. Once filled to your satisfaction, close up the remaining opening with slip stitches or a yarn needle, weaving in the ends for a seamless look.
Adding Personality with Embroidered Hearts
Embroidering hearts to your crochet snake not only adds a touch of charm but also gives it a unique personality. After completing the crocheted body, choose where you'd like to place the hearts. Use a contrasting color of embroidery floss or yarn to make the hearts stand out. If you're new to embroidery, practice on a separate piece of fabric to perfect your heart shape before moving to the snake.
The simplest way to embroider a heart is to create two chain stitches originating from the same stitch. If you're facing any difficulties with this step, don't worry! There are plenty of tutorials available online to guide you through creating simple hearts for your crochet snake.. The number of hearts and their placement is entirely up to you—let your creativity shine!
Complete your crochet snake by adding the finishing touches of embroidering the mouth and tongue, if you desire to do so.
