How I Created a Bear Crochet Glasses Holder & Tray (Free Pattern Included!)

It all started when my sister sent me a photo of the cutest little bear-shaped glasses holder she’d seen online. “Isn’t this adorable?” she texted. “You should make one for me!” Of course, I was immediately hooked (pun intended). But when I went searching for a pattern, I came up empty-handed. Determined to bring this idea to life, I decided to create my own pattern—and, naturally, I added a few personal touches along the way.

Now, I’m sharing my bear crochet glasses holder and tray pattern with you, complete with step-by-step instructions and tips for adding your own creative flair. Whether you’re a seasoned crocheter or just starting out, this project is fun, functional, and oh-so-charming.

The Inspiration Behind the Project

I had three things in mind. I wanted the bear’s nose held the glasses in place, embroidery the eyes and I also wanted to simplify the ears, so I decided to use a shell stitch instead of the traditional round shape. The shell stitch gave the ears a cute, wavy texture that added a playful touch to the design. Plus, it was quicker and easier to work up!
